Cape Charles Beach

Cape Charles Beach is a tranquil free public beach in the historic district of Cape Charles.

The waters are clean and shallow and free of waves, ideal for small children. There are several large natural wading pools where they can splash around.

Nowhere else on the east coast will you find sunsets as beautiful as the sunsets you will witness in Cape Charles.  

On the southern side of the beach front, you'll find a free fishing pier and observation huts stretching out into the Chesapeake Bay. On the first Saturday of every month (June to September), there are "Applaud the Sun" harbor parties and other events.
